Up until a few weeks ago, I didn’t know that you can go to the Utah Olympic Park in Park City and take bobsled rides on “The Comet”. I know, where have I been? I’ve also found that not only can you bobsled with an experienced driver, you can also enroll in camps that will teach you how to ski jump, luge, skeleton, etc. You’ll have to pay for the lesson, but haven’t you always wanted to rush down an icy slope, head first at 60 miles per hour? Tempting.
So if the spirit of the 2002 Winter Olympics just won’t fade from your heart, maybe it’s time you participated.
For something a bit more mild, you might be interested in other events, such as the Samsung World Cup Short Track that is happening at the Utah Olympic Oval this weekend. Who could resist being able to see our own Apollo Anton Ohno again?
The oval offers skating for the public too. $99 will get you an unlimited pass to skate whenever you like. And there’s also an indoor soccer tournament coming to the Oval later this month.
Here’s the link to the Olympic parks website so you can find out when and where you can participated in all these activities, how to buy the tickets, and all that good stuff.
